Our Story

The origins of Yancy Academy came from the love that Kendal L. Yancy had over the game of basketball. Since he was young he had always followed the footsteps of an older bother who played collegiate and professional basketball. His heart fell in love with the game and became a top 10 high school basketball player in the state of Texas. He developed into a top 100 player in the country in high school. He then committed, played and graduated at the University of Texas at Austin all four years. He scored a career high of 29 points verses a top 25 team, Iowa State. He then extended his career to play professionally for the San Antonio Spurs affiliated team, Austin Spurs, in the Gatorade League also known as the G-League. He has achieved many accolades during his career but nothing seems to give him more fulfillment then to give back to the youth today.  "I am proud to be your trainer, your coach, your mentor, your friend.
